Leopards Courier Failed Delivery — What To Do Next
Your tracking shows "Failed Delivery," "Delivery Attempted," or "Exception"? This guide explains why it happened, how many chances you get, and all your options to recover the parcel.

Look for "Out for Delivery," "Delivery Attempted," or "Failed Delivery" in the timeline to understand what happened.
Why Deliveries Fail
A failed delivery does not mean your parcel is lost. It means a delivery rider attempted to hand over the parcel but could not complete the handover. Here are the most common reasons:
Nobody Home
No one was present at the address to receive the parcel. The rider typically calls once before marking a failed attempt.
Wrong or Incomplete Address
Missing house number, wrong street name, or incomplete address provided at the time of order.
Phone Unreachable
The rider called but the number was off, busy, out of network, or incorrect. Keep your phone reachable on expected delivery day.
Gate / Building Access Denied
Security guard or building management refused the rider access. Arrange prior clearance for gated communities or office buildings.
Delivery Refused
The recipient declined to accept the parcel. If you did not refuse it, contact your seller immediately as a dispute may be open.
COD Cash Not Ready
For Cash on Delivery orders, riders cannot accept credit cards or transfers. The exact cash amount must be available at the door.
What Happens After a Failed Delivery
After a failed delivery attempt, your parcel returns to the local LCS hub or Express Centre. Here is the typical sequence of events:
Failed Attempt Recorded
Same day as attemptThe rider marks the delivery as attempted in the LCS system. Your tracking status updates to "Delivery Attempted" or "Failed Delivery." The parcel is taken back to the local hub.
Parcel Returns to Hub
Within 4 hoursThe parcel is checked back into the hub inventory. If the address or phone issue is identified, a note is attached for the next attempt.
Automatic Re-Attempt Scheduled
Next business dayLCS automatically schedules a second delivery attempt for the next business day. No action is required from you unless the address or contact details were wrong.
Third Attempt (if applicable)
Day after second attemptSome shipments — particularly high-value or COD parcels — receive a third attempt. This depends on the sender's SLA with LCS and is not guaranteed for all shipments.
RTO — Return to Sender
1–2 days after final attemptIf all delivery attempts fail, the parcel is marked RTO (Return to Origin) and begins its return journey to the sender. Transit time is 3–7 business days.
Your 5-Step Recovery Plan
Step 1: Check Your Tracking for Failed Delivery Status
Use the tracking form above to pull up your CN status. Look specifically for these status messages in your timeline:
Delivery Attempted
Rider tried to deliver but could not complete handover.
Failed Delivery
Same as above — the attempt was unsuccessful.
Exception
An issue occurred — check the sub-status for the reason.
Held at Branch
Parcel is at the local Express Centre awaiting pickup or re-attempt.
Note the date and time of the failed attempt — this tells you when the next re-attempt is likely and how much time you have to take action.
Step 2: Contact Leopards Before 5 PM to Reschedule
Call the LCS helpline at +92 21 111 300 786 as soon as you see the failed delivery status. Try to call before 5 PM on the same day — this gives LCS time to update the delivery instructions before the rider finishes their rounds.
What to have ready when you call:
- →Your CN number
- →Your full delivery address (corrected if wrong)
- →An alternate phone number the rider can call
- →Preferred re-delivery date
LCS helpline: +92 21 111 300 786 — available 24/7. Press 1 for tracking, 0 for a live agent.
Step 3: Update Your Address (If It Was Wrong)
If the delivery failed because the address on the parcel was incorrect or incomplete, you cannot update it directly through LCS as a recipient. Address changes must come from the sender (seller).
Daraz Order
Open the Daraz app → My Orders → Order Details → "I have an issue" → Address Problem. Daraz has a dedicated LCS escalation channel.
Other Online Shop
Contact the seller via their website or WhatsApp. Ask them to submit an address update request through their LCS corporate account.
Direct LCS Sender
Ask the sender to call their LCS account manager or use the LCS business portal to update the delivery address before the next attempt.
Address updates must be submitted before the next delivery attempt. Act quickly — re-attempts typically happen the next business day.
Step 4: Arrange Re-Delivery
Once you have contacted LCS and confirmed the address and phone number, here is how to schedule a re-delivery:
- 1Call +92 21 111 300 786 and speak to a live agent (press 0).
- 2Provide your CN number and confirm the delivery address.
- 3Request a specific date for re-delivery — LCS can target a particular day.
- 4Confirm your phone number and ask the agent to attach a note for the rider to call before arriving.
- 5On the scheduled delivery day, keep your phone on and someone at the address from 9 AM to 6 PM.
You can also ask the seller to request re-delivery through their LCS account — this is often faster than calling as a recipient.
Step 5: Pick Up from Your Nearest Branch
If you cannot arrange re-delivery or prefer to collect the parcel yourself, you can request that LCS hold it at the nearest Express Centre for self-collection. This is often the fastest option.
What to bring:
- Original CNIC / National ID Card
- CN number (on phone or paper)
- Proof of purchase (if available)
Branch hours (typical):
- Saturday to Thursday: 9 AM – 6 PM
- Friday: Closed in many areas
- Major holidays: Closed
Call LCS first to confirm the parcel is at the branch and request a hold. Parcels are typically held for 5 business days before being returned to the sender.
Leopards Courier 3-Attempt Policy
Leopards Courier's standard policy allows up to 3 delivery attempts before a parcel is returned to the sender. Here's what happens at each stage:
First delivery on the scheduled day. Rider calls your number before arriving. If no answer after 2 tries, marks as failed and returns parcel to hub.
Ensure phone is reachable and someone is home.
Automatic re-attempt the next business day. This is your primary recovery window. If you have fixed the issue (address, phone, access), the 2nd attempt usually succeeds.
Call LCS helpline to update any details before this attempt.
Final attempt. If delivery fails again, the parcel is marked RTO. Not all shipments get a 3rd attempt — it depends on the sender's SLA. Act urgently after the 2nd failure.
Request self-collection from branch before RTO is processed.
After RTO is Processed
Once marked RTO, the parcel returns to the sender city in 3–7 business days. You must contact the seller to request a second dispatch with corrected delivery information. The seller may charge an additional shipping fee for re-dispatching.
Failed COD (Cash on Delivery) Deliveries
Cash on Delivery parcels follow the same 3-attempt policy but have additional rules due to the payment component:
Special COD Rules
Exact Cash Required
LCS riders cannot accept digital payments or give change. You must have the exact COD amount in cash at the time of delivery.
COD Held by LCS
If delivery fails, LCS holds the COD amount on behalf of the seller until the parcel is delivered, collected by the recipient, or returned.
RTO Returns Item, Not Cash
After failed attempts, the item returns to the seller. No COD amount is transferred. The buyer must contact the seller to re-order.
No COD on Self-Collection
If you collect from a branch, you still pay the full COD amount at the branch counter before the parcel is released to you.
COD Failed Delivery — What To Do
- 1Prepare the exact COD amount in cash before the next attempt.
- 2Call +92 21 111 300 786 to confirm re-delivery date and COD amount.
- 3If collecting from branch, bring the exact cash + CNIC + CN.
- 4If the order is disputed, contact the seller — not LCS.
- 5For Daraz COD, use the Daraz app to track return status.
Tip: For recurring COD delivery issues, ask your seller to add a "call before delivery" note to your account. Many LCS corporate accounts support this instruction flag.
